The Way To Not Choose Your Anti Aging Skin Care Products

The anti aging and skin care industries are huge. Millions or billions of dollars are spent by consumers on anti aging skin care treatments, and so there is big money to be made. And there are plenty of big companies in the anti aging and cosmetics industry that take advantage of this.

But sadly many of the anti aging skin care products that you buy just don’t really do very much. Unfortunately the cosmetics and skin care and anti aging industries are unregulated in the US and the companies can put just about anything they want in their products without proving that they work, and even without showing that the ingredients are safe for people to use.

So as well as the fact that many skin care products don’t work they can contain dangerous ingredients.

But despite this they sell huge amounts of these products that advertise their ability to make you look younger. Everywhere you look you see products telling you they will make you younger and look great.

So the challenge for the consumer is to navigate through all the hype and actually find a range of anti-aging skin care products that work and don’t contain potentially dangerous ingredients.

Here’s how not to choose a good anti aging product.

1. Make sure you don’t buy any anti-aging products that contain fragrances. The big companies put fragrances in their skin care ranges because they know we like to look younger and smell good.

But there’s 2 problems. Firstly the skin care cream you’re buying probably won’t do very much to make you look younger.

Secondly, fragrances are not good chemicals to put on your skin. Because that’s what they are, chemicals that smell good, and many of them aren’t that good for you. It’s the same with perfumes, for example, but if you apply a perfume it’s only a small squirt on one spot, it’s not massaged all over your face where it disappears, into your blood. So just use a perfume instead.

2. Don’t buy skin care creams that have collagen in them. Now this at first glance appears counterintuitive doesn’t it? Everyone knows that collagen, or the breakdown of collagen in your skin, leads to sagging and wrinkling of the skin so putting more collagen on must be good.

Yes and no. Yes we need to replace that lost collagen, and no adding it to the bottles of anti-aging products like those moisturizers and day creams and night creams and so on doesn’t work. It doesn’t work because collagen molecules are too large to penetrate the skin, and so it just stays on the surface.

The only way to increase the levels of collagen in our skin is to stimulate the skin to make more collagen itself.

So if putting the collagen in the bottle does nothing why is it in the bottle and why are those big name celebrities on TV telling you how well it works? Because they know there’s lots of money to be made. That having collagen in the bottles sells lots of bottles.

Even if it’s got dangerous ingredients in it like fragrances and doesn’t do all that much it still sells fast.

That’s marketing.

But there is a problem. It costs megabucks to pay that celebrity to go on TV and tell you how great the products are, and those fancy bottles cost a lot.

So even though that anti aging treatment doesn’t do much, other than make you smell better, it costs a bomb. And people assume if it costs that much it has to work.

There’s 2 things to avoid when looking for a good anti aging skin care treatment. There’s more, but that’s for another time, or visit my website.

Does all this mean that you should give up on anti aging creams and products because they don’t work? Not at all. There are excellent anti aging products that work fine, produced from ingredients from plants that are safe to use.

But they aren’t made by the big name brands but by small niche companies that you’ve probably never heard of. They don’t spend on TV advertising which is why the products are moderately priced and why you’ve never heard of them.

So don’t despair. I’ve given you some things to look for when buying an anti aging skin care product, and told you that there are excellent products available. Now it’s your turn to find them.

Caring for Oily Skin Organically

Just because you suffer from excessively oily skin doesn’t mean you have to resort to harsh chemicals and cleansers. In fact, these often have just the opposite effect, irritating the skin so much that it releases even more oil. Avoid this vicious cycle by using only organic methods to remove the oil and balance out your skin.

Cleansing First off, you’ll need to make sure that you are treating your skin properly. It needs to be cleaned on a daily basis, but one mistake that many people with oily skin make is to wash their faces 3-5 times a day, or even more. This only causes more oil to be produced, which worsens the problem.

The best way to avoid this issue is to simply keep your cleansing routine to twice a day. Once when you wake up and before going to bed. Start with a basic routine, soap and water. The soap you use should be organic and simple, there’s no need to get all fancy and the chemicals in many soaps will cause further skin issues. Instead, look for an all natural bar that is plain or uses oats for a little extra exfoliation and oil absorption. This can be used twice a day, since it won’t be irritating.

Be sure to use plenty of water when rinsing your face, to wash away toxins and leave the skin feeling toned and refreshed. You should pat the skin dry, rather than rub it.

Other Treatments Often, soap and water isn’t enough to reduce the oil on the face, so you may need to try something in addition to this routine. Here are a few things you can add.

Splash your face with witch hazel. This is a natural astringent that can help reduce the amount of oil. It also firms up and tones the skin. You can use this after your cleansing routine.

Use aloe vera. The gel from this fleshy plant is a natural antiseptic, as well as a moisturizer and is well known for its healing properties. Spread some of the gel directly from the plant leaf or purchase organic gel. Don’t forget to use an oil free body lotion to help keep your skin moisturized as well.

Try a steam bath. Steaming your face is a great way to release excess oil and open pores. You can use many different ingredients, but herbs like peppermint, lemongrass or lavender work very well. Add them to a basin of very hot water, drape a towel over your head and lean your face over the basin or sink to allow the steam to rise up and settle on your face. It’s best to do this for only 5-10 min. since too much heat isn’t good for the skin, either.

Use a mask. There are a number of masks on the market, but a few are very useful. Mud or clay masks, for example, are ideal for sucking extra grease or oil out of the skin and can be used up to 3 times a week. Rinse with plenty of water. You can also make your own by blending cucumber, honey and yogurt and spreading the mixture on your face. Honey is a natural antiseptic, as well, so will get rid of any bacteria. Tomato puree can also be used, as can a mixture of honey and oatmeal.

Just because you have oily skin doesn’t mean you have to live with a constant shine on your face. Use these organic methods to keep the oil under control and enjoy getting out and about.

Skin Care For Wrinkles – Is The Most Expensive Really The Best?

What are you really paying for when it comes to buying really well advertised skin care for wrinkles? Why, the advertising of course. Many skin care products are widely advertised in glossy magazines, on television and all kinds of media and they are also terribly expensive, yet don’t seem to work as they should!

The advertising campaigns that these large cosmetic houses use are unbelievably expensive, so in many instances the users of these products is not actually paying for the product, but they are paying for the glamorous advertising campaign on TV and in glossy magazines.

Paying a fortune for skin care is not the key to success, getting the best results from skin care for wrinkles is!! I know I have really gotten tired of promised results that have never materialized and so must you. There are some very good products on the market that will do exactly what you want them to do without having to cost a huge fortune.

Improving the quality of your skin includes firming, toning, evening out discolorations, and reducing fine lines and bags under the eyes. If you find a product which can achieve all these results, you will have found a product which suites your own skin type. Regular use of the product will allow you to have a far more youthful appearance. When you look younger, you feel younger too.

The biggest problem is that there are so many different products available it is difficult to know where to make your choices. As with any product, a consumer must educate themselves regarding skin care for wrinkles. A wise purchase is generally a good purchase and if a skin product can do what it says it does, this is very valuable.

Could The Best Anti Aging Moisturizer Not Really Be A Moisturizer?

If you’ve spent your life searching for the best anti aging moisturizer that you can get there’s some important facts that you need to know about moisturizers and skin care products generally, including why the best anti aging moisturizer isn’t actually a moisturizer.

The first thing to understand, even know it may come as a surprise to you, is that most big brand-name moisturizers, in fact most skin care products generally, contain ingredients which may be damaging to your health and which generally don’t work anyway. A prime example of this sort of ingredient found in many moisturizers is mineral oil.

Mineral oil is a byproduct of the distillation of crude oil. It is a petrochemical product and is found in a wide range of personal, beauty and skin care products. Baby oil is mineral oil. Unfortunately there is a range of health concerns linked to the use of mineral oil and personal products.

Maybe you’ve heard of Material Safety Data Sheets. A MSDS lists information about various chemicals including health concerns. If you look at a Material Safety Data Sheet for mineral oil you’ll notice that it lists health concerns for mineral oil as being a suspected carcinogen and also can cause irritation to the skin, eyes and lungs.

Why would any anti aging company use mineral oil in it’s products where it is a potential health concern? Because it’s extremely cheap, in fact it’s cheaper to buy mineral oil than it costs to dispose of mineral oil.

On top of this mineral oil does not effectively moisturize. There are no active moisturizing properties in mineral oil at all but it is included because it is supposed to form a layer of oil over the skin which prevent moisture loss. Whilst this is effective to a degree it is far more effective to use ingredients which actively moisturize.

There is a wide range of naturally occurring ingredients which actively moisturize and which are safe to use. For example babassu oil, Shea butter, avocado oil and olive oil all moisturize very well and are quite safe to use.

And you can also find in the best anti aging moisturizers other natural ingredients that moisturize very effectively by different methods. Cynergy TK is one of these and it is sourced from the wool of sheep. Cynergy TK increases levels of elastin and collagen in the skin thereby improving the health of the skin, improving in elasticity and reducing wrinkles and increasing skin moisture levels. Healthier skin holds moisture levels more successfully.

Cynergy TK is exceedingly expensive and so there are very few products in the world that use it. The mainstream well-known anti aging companies won’t use it because of the cost. But one small niche skin care manufacturer does use it to produce what is the worlds best anti aging moisturizer even though it isn’t a moisturizer.

This company doesn’t produce a moisturizer because all their products are successful moisturizers because they use the ingredients already mentioned. There is no need to produce a dedicated moisturizer because if you use any of their skin care products you will get moisturizing properties anyway.

Hopefully that’s explained to you some of the things you need to know when searching for the best anti aging moisturizer money can buy. The best moisturizer is not a moisturizer but a range of products all of which improve skin health which is the best way to improve skin moisture levels.

How To Choose The Best Wrinkle Cream

If you have noticed your skin looking a bit looser and that you have more wrinkles, then perhaps you need to invest in a good anti aging cream. The best wrinkle cream on the market today is made up of lots of different ingredients. But, how do you know which ones work and what to use?

Here are some things to consider before you make a purchase of any cream. You must keep a look out for the following ingredients:

Does It Contain Collagen?

Collage is a natural part of the skin. It is the substance that keeps the skin elastic and firm. Without this you will start to age. The body starts to lose collagen as we get older, which is why it needs to be replaced with an anti aging, anti wrinkle cream.

Is there CoQ10 in it?

CoQ10 is an antioxidant and very powerful at fighting free radicals. These free radicals attack the skin at night when we are asleep, so this ingredient is great to use in a night time wrinkle cream. Most of the natural CoQ10 in our bodies gets less as we age, so we need to replace this lost antioxidant. There are different versions of CoQ10, but the best one to use is one called Nano – Lipobelle H-EQ10.

The Importance of Phytessence Wakame

Phytessence Wakame is kelp that is native to the Japanese Sea. It has been found to have properties that stop a harmful enzyme from attacking the skin. The enzyme, called hyaluronidase, blocks the natural elastin of the skin and actually breaks down the glue that holds this and the collagen of the skin together. Once your skin starts to be attacked it will be seen as sagging, dark circles under the eyes, bags, and dull skin.

These are just three of the most important ingredients that you need to have in any anti aging cream treatment. The best wrinkle cream on the market can be determined by using this as a guideline.
